Hey everyone! I'm doing great! How are you? The snow and everything was almost gone, but it is snowing today, so. We'll have it for a little longer. My week has been good, went on exchange with one of the Zone Leaders, Elder Alcarion. He's a pretty cool guy, we came out in the same flight group. Which was huge, we had about 24 missionaries. At the end of this transfer all the sisters go home that were in my flight group. What!

 Other than that it's been a pretty normal week of tracting and contacting, and teaching, and preaching, and working as missionaries do! Missionary work really is work. Pretty fun though. My trainer sent me a letter, he got married. That's really weird. All these people you know on the mission go home and get married. What? 

 What's been going on for you this week? Anything cool? Hilarious? Fun and exciting? Anything cool you've learned recently? I hope so! I probably sound like a broken record, but I learn new things everyday. I recently read a talk from Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church from the last General Conference called "It Works Wonderfully!" It is a pretty awesome talk and I'd recommend everyone to read it! I loved a couple of the quotes I read in it, " I know firsthand how the gospel can invigorate and renew one's spirit - how it can fill our hearts with hope and our minds with light. I know for myself how the fruits of the gospel of Jesus Christ can transform lives from the ordinary and drear to the extraordinary and sublime." and "God will take you as you are at this very moment and begin to work with you. All you need is a willing heart, a desire to believe, and trust in the Lord." I know that's true! If we let him, and if we want it, God will takes us from where we are and help shape and mold our lives into the wonderful people he knows and dreams that we'll become! All we have to do is trust him. Just like Joseph Smith did. Trust him. It truly is easier said than done, when we are in the darkest abyss we feel we've ever been in, it is hard at times to see the light. But when we turn our eyes and look towards Him, when we look up, look towards Heaven, we realize He, our Heavenly Father, has been there waiting for us to look. Never think that He doesn't have a hand in your life. He reaches down and touches every part of our lives, even when we are in that abyss, we can know that Heavenly Father loves us. He sent His son Jesus Christ to save us, to show us the way. Jesus Christ loves us and is there to help us as well. We will never reach our divine potential by sitting around and waiting him to reach down and pick us up, He is there, and He wants to lift us to our rightful place by him and our Heavenly Father, but we have to be willing to stand and grab hold. I know that is true. It takes an act of Faith to open our eyes to what Heavenly Father sees in each of us!

 Not much this week, just wanted you all to know I'm alive. And doing well here. This week we had a Meeting where our whole Zone got together. And the Zone leaders taught about God, our Heavenly Father, and our relationship to him. It was pretty awesome. We are all literally the
children of a King, children of the Most High! He wants us to be like Him, so He gave us His son Jesus Christ to be an example, and to give us the way back to Him. The Atonement is there for us to use! I know it! Use it! Live His gospel! Have a great week everyone!

Woah. This week was just awesome.
 Our investigator Noah, he got baptized by his dad on Saturday. That was incredible. It was a little stressful that day, an appointment that went way too long, we got called on for a blessing, and a few other things made me feel pretty stressed. It's okay though, not that any of the experiences that day were bad, just made me feel a little overwhelmed. I gained a better testimony of prayer that day. I prayed on and off throughout the whole day that everything would work out. It did. It always does, God watches out for us and the rest of His children. When we reach out to Him, we realize that He's always had His hand reached out to us.
 The rest of my week, Elder Owens and I have tried working hard. We've been out knocking doors and talking to everyone we meet, that'll give us a chance. Haha, no we try talking to everyone! The more people we talk to the more we have a chance to help someone out. That's one of the things I love as a missionary, we just reach out to help everyone! And some people take us up on that offer, I've helped people move, split wood, paint their houses, rake leaves, shovel snow, loads of stuff! It's always worth it!

 Yeah, this week has been cold. Hit the negatives, but it's been a good week. My companion Elder Owens and I are doing pretty well and are working hard up here in Dover. We're pretty excited, one of our investigators, Noah, is getting baptized this Saturday! His family is
pretty excited too! It'll be awesome!

 Well, I'm not getting transferred! I'm staying in Dover as a District Leader for at least one more transfer. Elder Byers, not so much. He is going all the way down to Rutland Vermont. Pretty crazy! My new companion will  be Elder Owens, he is a Spanish Speaking missionary, so who knows, this is my second Spanish speaking companion so maybe I'll learn Spanish by the end of my mission!

 This week has been good. How has your week been? Anything cool? Exciting? Boring? 

 I really get stumped when it comes to these e-mails, I'm not sure what to talk about. But, Hey. Here's my week in summary. Lots of walking, talking and preaching and teaching. That's it! Have a great week everyone! 

 Nah, I'm just kidding I'll talk a little more than that. One of the cool things this week, was District Meeting. We have a weekly meeting where a group of missionaries, a district, get together and study and discuss how to more effectively help those around us, the members of the church, people who aren't members, etc. The District Leader, (me), teaches the  main topics and leads the discussions. So this week, I was teaching and it didn't feel like the lesson that we all needed to have and needed to hear. So, as a District Leader, and as a missionary over-all, we desperately try and pay attention to the promptings of the Spirit. So a prompting from the Spirit came to mind in the form of a question, to ask about who was nervous about transfers. So when I followed that prompting, basically stopping mid sentence and asked who was nervous, almost everyone raised their hands, including me! So that's when we stopped the lesson and just talked about what everyone felt and what was going through our minds at that point. It was good. It calmed me down, and everyone else said they felt better and that they thought the meeting was good. So, how can I apply this better? Teach the people, not just the lesson. Sometimes we have a dramatic change in what we teach, and sometimes we just need to talk. Following the Spirit will never lead us astray. I know God lives and loves us. He reaches out to us through those whom he has called to lead and guide us. Jesus Christ lives. His Atonement reaches everyone. Trusting Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, will lead us to heights we never thought we could reach. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

 Hey everyone! I'm doing great! How are you? How was your week? Anything cool or exciting happen for you? Another week has just come and gone for me, and I do have a couple of adventures for you this week.

Note: No one (being me) was seriously harmed in the making of these events.

 This week there have been a couple of things that have happened with some dogs. The first one, we were helping these dog sled racers, get to the start line of their races. So after hooking up anywhere from 6-10 dogs on lines that stretch out from the front of the sled, they were all very energetic. So much so that even though the sled was usually tied to something incredibly heavy, i.e. A car or a telephone pole, they were pulling with all their might to just get going. They were jumping and hopping as much as they could.  So I was helping with
one of these, and there was snow on the ground and I wasn't wearing boots, and my shoes have little to no traction left on them, so when the dogs pulled I started sliding along trying to get some footing. They drove for the start line and several of us were holding back on
these dogs as to slow them down, and then one of the particularly hyper ones who was jumping all around next to me decided to jump at my feet. I didn't want to hurt him, so I pulled my leg back. Then my other foot was in the air and I slammed down onto the snow/ice and got drug a few yards the rest of the way to the start line. My side was a
little sore for a bit, but the only thing that really got hurt was my pride, so I guess that's okay.
 The other one, is less exciting. We were tracting and we knocked on a door, a man came to answer it and he had a small dog barking at his feet that he bent down to hold on to. Just then, a bigger dog comes flying out of the door way and bites my hand! Not cool! He didn't
really get me, just enough to gum me I guess. Pretty ridiculous.
 Other than that I've had a good week! I had an interview with my mission president, he did talk a little bit about me going home. Ah, it's feeling more and more real and it's very weird.  My companion and I have been trucking away at our missionary work here though, we've
had several lessons which have been great and we've met loads of people. Even in the strangely warm winter months there are always new people to talk to.

 Well, another week has flown by and I'm here once again. I used to think it was cool that the time is flying by, but now it's kind of scary. Oh well, face the future. Step up and move forward! 

 My week has been good, I had a pretty awesome exchange. One of the Zone Leaders and I went on exchange down in Newport and he and I had an absolute blast. Spent loads of time talking and running to and from appointments. It's always fun, they definitely make the weeks go even faster which is really weird. Hmm, other than that, I can't think of much else to say. We had a worldwide Missionary Broadcast on Wednesday and we heard some great talks from President Nelson, Elder Oaks, Elder Bednar, and a few others. Man, I want to be a much better missionary now. You never know how many flaws you have till you take them to the Lord. Then he shows you them and you really start to rely on him. It's been crazy. I'm good though!

What has been your favorite area and why?

 My favorite area, hmm, I'd probably have to say that my favorite is here. Dover-Foxcroft Maine. I've learned so much. It's really a time where I've seen a change, and growth in myself. I love the people here and I most certainly love the branch that I'm serving in so it has just been great. 

 

Have you learned a lot from your companions so far on your mission? 

 Oh yeah. I've written down the main thing I feel I've learned from each companion that I've had. I learn so much from everyone that I meet and spend time getting to know. Especially my companions. Each companion has taught me something different, whether it was to be humble, to be diligent, to simplify, or to love the people. There has been so much I've learned. Also, at the end of this transfer, (next Sunday) my last Senior Companion goes home. So, I'm going to be older in mission age, than all of my other companions. That's weird. I guess 16 months is a little old now. 

 

Do you get to go to the Temple on your mission? 

 We do get to go, if we live within two hours of the Boston Temple. Which I'm no where close. The closest I think I've been is about 3 hours away. So I haven't gone yet.

 

What color are your white shirts?

 Yellow.
